RTS Bukit Chagar Project Site & Info - Johor Bahru

The Johor Bahru Rapid Transit System:
Bukit Chagar RTS station is a planned elevated terminal station in Johor Bahru.
It was announced on 15 September 2015 during the Iskandar Malaysia Comprehensive Development Plan Open Day in a public poll.
The station is planned to locate at the north of Johor Bahru Sentral (JB Sentral).
Initially, it is scheduled to be open by the end of 2024
When opened, 60K additional commuters will be able to cross the Causeway during peak hours.
The Bukit Chagar RTS terminal station will have its own Customs and Immigration clearance facilities and will not be sharing with existing facilities at the Sultan Iskandar Building complex
The parcels of land in Bukit Chagar are the most suitable site for the construction of the Rapid Transit System (RTS) station.
as it is located in between JB Sentral, CIQ, JBCC, JB City Square, IIBD, Menara MBJB, KTM Station and direct access to North-South Expressway through the Eastern Dispersal Link, EDL.
