One of the flagships of TransPennine Express or TPE for short is the Nova 1; TPE's rendition of the Class 802. In my opinion the best looking version of the 802, in that stunning TPE livery!

The Nova 1 is a bi-modal unit that's both capable operating under the electrical wires, as well as in a diesel-electric setup powered by three 12-cylinder MTU engines.

Today I'd like to share the latter, seeing the blue, gray and purple beauty fire off of Leeds in full diesel mode. Giving quite a bit of Throttle.
