Guided by the Rural Community Assistance Partnership, we hosted a virtual workshop on the past impacts of climate change on private drinking water systems and wells. Climate change affected groundwater quantity and quality through erratic precipitation and more frequent extreme weather events. The workshop addressed regional vulnerabilities like saltwater intrusion, groundwater depletion, and increased microbiological contamination.
