As done in Battlefront Gameplay Rework and featured in Battlefront Plus.
With the release of V6, Battlefront Plus now features 50 new blasters for the Assault, Heavy, Officer, and Specialist. The default blasters now perform uniquely from each other and are unrestricted by faction, which alone brings forth 21 new weapons. The other 29 are everything from reusing 2017 assets and returning blasters from 2015, like the DL-44 and CJ-9 Bo-Rifle respectively, to completely custom assets such as the DC-12U and 773-Firepuncher.
...so uhh, no, BF+ is not just reskins
