Kota Kinabalu is known as one of the major tourist destinations in Malaysia because of the sceneries, activities to do, convenient transportation, and of course, night markets. The night markets along the Waterfront in Kota Kinabalu are a splash of colour and culture with a wide range of goods and produce at meagre prices. It is authentic, bustling, aromatic and noisy. At the southwest end, you will find stalls selling everything from belacan (fermented shrimp paste) to snake beans. Towards the waterfront are the fish stalls: row upon row of bug-eyed bream, tuna, tiger prawns and red snapper. At the northeast end of the market is a large hawker centre where you can eat your way through every Malay dish in the book. The individuals who are not interested in seafood must go for the BBQ honey chicken wings, and as promised by chefs, it is finger-licking great. The place may be overwhelming at first since there are a lot of shops, people, and delicacies to try, but it is an authentic experience you should try; Borneo, Malaysia 2019.
