Jason Doyle's first Grand Prix season ended with a horrific crash at his home GP, in Melbourne. Doyle bounced back from his injuries the following year, with some phenomenal performances which saw him notch up four Grand Prix wins. Heading into Round 10, he was first on the leaderboard and hunting down the World Champion title until he was involved in a horrific crash. Unable to participate in the remainder of the Grand Prix series, Doyle missed out on his chance to claim the title.
