Choosing the right swim goggles can be confusing, especially when going into a store and looking at a massive inventory of multiple different goggle models. Your first step in choosing any goggle, should be the suction test. Push the goggles gently over your eyes without the strap around your head. If the goggles stay on and suctioned for at least a few seconds, chances are they will work for you in the pool. From there, you can start looking at different styles, what type of lens you want and how adjustable they are.
For any triathletes out there, I recommend having at least 2 pairs of goggles. One with a dark tint or mirrored lens in case you are racing in open water during a sunny race start and another goggle with a clear lens in case you have to race during a cloudy day.
