Growing up in Indonesia and Hawai'i, President Obama and his sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, were influenced by the cultures throughout the Pacific region. The intention of the Obama Foundation is to build the next generation of leaders in the United States and around the world and there's no region that is going to be growing faster or is more dynamic that the Asia-Pacific region. They return to the region and discuss values based leadership with 200 emerging leaders who are part of the Leaders: Asia-Pacific program.
