Union minister Nitin Gadkari has taken over the command of government formation in Maharashtra amid the ongoing tussle between BJP-Shiv Sena. Negotiations between the two parties have also started from behind the scenes just 48 hours before the assembly term ends.
The BJP may opt for a leadership change to convince the Shiv Sena. Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has also given a positive sign saying not to break the alliance. Gadkari reached Nagpur on Thursday and met Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat and talked about forming a coalition government.
According to sources, the Sangh and BJP leadership have fielded Gadkari to end the tussle. After this, negotiations between the two parties started for the first time through trusted mediators. Actually, the Shiv Sena wants a respectable path to join the BJP after a bitter rhetoric. It is believed that along with the BJP leadership change, some important ministry may offer to the Shiv Sena. In such a situation, the command of the state government can be given to Sudhir Mungantiwar, close to Gadkari. The Shiv Sena has earlier demanded to forward Gadkari. Actually Nitin Gadkari's relations with Shiv Sena and NCP are very good .... Nitin Gadkari himself can become CM if Shiv Sena does not agree .... Actually Shiv Sena does not agree on the name of Devendra Fadnavis ... The entire leadership of BJP Efforts are on Friday to clear the way for government formation. If this does not happen, President's rule can be imposed in the state for a few days. The term of the current assembly is being completed on November 9. If the two parties talks are positive then the BJP can form the government on Friday itself.
