With the boat mishap in Jigawa state where One person has been Confirmed Dead after a Boat carrying over 20 persons capsized at Kalgwai village in Auyo Local Government Area.
Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Lawan Adam said preliminary investigations suggest that the accident was caused by powerful waves and overloading, which made it impossible for the driver to steer the canoe.
The incident occurred when a group of about 20 marketers from Kwalgwai village boarded the canoe to travel to Hadin village.
