Someone called the dealership to try to sell their nine vehicles that they have listed on Turo to sell to me, but unfortunately she is very upside down and wants to sell each car for what she owes. I told her that she is about $91,000 a negative equity and that unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to buy her cars and that she should keep renting them out if she is breaking even And tackle each car one by one to try to get the best deal and sell them off. She insisted she is ready to get rid of them now and is willing to take up to a $20,000 loss because she’s tired of the headache that comes with renting these cars out on Turo. She has vehicles in Jacksonville and in California and it is too much for her to manage, even though she has somebody managing most of her fleet in Florida. I guess you could say this is a Turo dream gone bad.
