Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) has re-entered the 250 cc motorcycle segment with the all-new Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, with all-new styling, a new single-cylinder, four-valve 249 cc engine with Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS). The 249 cc, fuel-injected engine has an oil-jacket around the cylinder, and doesn’t get conventional liquid-cooling, but an ingenious oil-cooling system, and the head doesn’t require cooling fins as well, like conventional air-cooled engines. It puts out 26 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm and the engine is smooth and refined with linear acceleration, with a top speed of around 150 kmph.The styling introduces the new design language of the Suzuki Gixxer family and is sleek, sharp and attractive. The Gixxer SF 250 is offered in two colours – Metallic Matte Platinum Silver and Metallic Matte Black. The newly designed LED headlamp, clip-on handlebars, LED taillight and split seat gives the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 a premium look and feel, together with the blue back-lit LCD instrument panel which offers good readability, even on a bright sunny day. The new Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is priced at Rs. 1.71 lakh and Suzuki claims fuel economy figures of 38.5 kmpl.
