How To Transfer Money With SWIFT (What Is SWIFT And How SWIFT Payment Works). In this video tutorial I will show how to transfer money with SWIFT.
In Person
• Visit your nearest bank branch and head over to the Customer Service Help Desk.
• Inform the agent that you would like to make a SWIFT Transaction.
• They will give you a form to complete with the recipient's details, that is;
Full Name
Name of the recipient’s bank and branch address.
Their SWIFT or BIC code
Recipient's account number
The amount you wish to transfer
ABA number
• Once you have completed filling out the form, hand them over to the agent with your payment details.
• The agent will initiate the transfer. Upon successful completion, you will get a notification to this effect.
How long does a SWIFT transfer take?
It might take a few hours or several days depending on your bank.
How much will they charge you for a SWIFT transfer?
It depends on your bank. However, it usually ranges from 2% -5% of the bank’s exchange rate.
