English Electric class 40 D345 would be the motive power for the Northern Belle from Darlington to Appleby over Shap with the return back down the Settle & Carlisle Line standing in for 34067 Tangmere which is still unavailable . The tour would start at Darlington but was rerouted via the Tyne Valley line to Carlisle and then to Preston on the West Coast mainline then returning to Appleby via Shap Summit.D345 joined the tour at Preston and is seen on full throttle though Oxenholme station.
