New Zealand ACT Leader David Seymour says the protest haka in parliament shows a “total lack of understanding” over how democracy functions.

“There are people who are not prepared to have a discussion; they would rather just assert,” Mr Seymour said.

“What happened last week with the haka on the floor of parliament showed a total lack of understanding about how parliamentary democracy works.”
