This is Richard Davis, the pioneer of soft, wearable body armor. Here he demonstrates his product by shooting himself with a 44 Magnum revolver. This video was taken in 1995 at the bowling pin shooting match he used to hold every year, the Second Chance Shoot.
The concept of shooting bowling pins is that if you are able to hit a bowling pin accurately and with enough power to knock it off a table you are able to defend yourself in a gunfight.
