The boys (age 2 and 3) have an overcast outing to the clifftop paths near Fisherman's Walk, with their Dalmatian dog. The car was a 1970 Hillman Hunter Estate. Exact location is opposite the top of Southwood Avenue. Flying the kite is a total failure! We seem more interested in the drinking fountain. Note the Commodore Hotel, which is still there, and the Griffin Hotel and Morningside Hotel, plus the Sandy Beach Hotel, all now redeveloped into either holiday lets or luxury flats.
If you look very carefully at the kite, you will see that it has a photo of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the moon printed on it!
Note, the sprocket holes are left in deliberately to allow the full width of the image on film to be visible plus the frame edges for image stabilisation
