Cherry Blossoms in the Middle of The Netherlands (Bloesempark)
One of the activities we've been looking forward to was going to see the beautiful cherry blossom trees in the Amsterdam Bos. There are 400 pink and white sakura trees in the Bloesempark, and were gifted by the Japan Women's Club in 2000. Each of the trees has a given name, 200 Dutch girls names, and 200 Japanese girls names. The Hanami Matsuri festival celebrates the arrival of spring, but the blossoms are only around for a few weeks, so visit while you can!
