Rising damp investigation
I always call investigation rather than a survey, as you need to investigate the root cause. Without eliminating everything it’s difficult to give the best advice. I always will promote drain surveys, on solid wall construction and also on cavity construction even with a physical damp proof course. As in this case with soak away issues, this is a common problem I come across, and can be an expensive fix, a lot more than than a small damp repair. And with some of these issues, like leaks they can cost a fortune to fix, but this is something you should be able to claim under your house insurance 👍
