Hey guys in today's video I wanted to attempt to cut 1 inch thick mild steel with the Primeweld CUT60 once again. In my last video I failed to penetrate through 1 inch, which I later found out was due to my own error. My mistake happened when I failed to apply the full 75psi needed for the cut. This mistake occurred because I did not measure the PSI while the machine was in "SET AIR" mode. This caused my PSI reading to appear higher than it actually was.
In this video, you will see the machine set to the the proper 75psi recommended in the manual as I attempt the cut again. This time, the machine fully penetrates the 1 inch thick piece and makes the cut. Granted the cut is not pretty and shows a lot of slag, but it does show the 60 amps of cutting power in action.
Keep in mind this machine is rated to cut a maximum thickness of 3/4" mild steel and does so very well with little to no slag build up. This 1 inch cut doesn't look the prettiest and is more of a demonstration of the machine's raw power.
Any other questions feel free to leave them in the comments below. Thanks for watching guys.
