Thanks for tuning in to this week's video ! We are taking a bike trip along the coast, starting from Jaco to Quebrada Amarilla (de Jaco), in Puntarenas Province, where we stop along the way to experience some amazing M Pacific Ocean views. Then we head up on a back road that quietly meanders through a few small picturesque country towns! Along the way we spot some incredible tropical plants which include:

Begonia Multinervia Aguilar
Bird's nest Anthuriums
Xiphidium Caerulium
A possible monstera spruceana?
Chrysothemus Pulchella
Philodendron Pterotum
and a few more unknowns species!

After about 3 hours of biking and plant exploring in the scorching sun, we stop at a beautiful spot on the Rio Turrbaritos, just on the outskirts of the town of Montelimar de Turrubares . We take a quick break, hydrate and then head back home to Jaco.

The back road from Quebrada Amarilla to Montelimar de Turrubares is very lush and pretty. There are mostly small towns and farms in this region along with some densely forested mountains that make for some beautiful views. The road is gravel for only a short distance and then turns into a paved road once again. This is a fairly quiet road, which is perfect for cycling!
