In this episode, I take you on a quick daytime tour of the Baywalk Pier in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. During the day, the usually bustling pier transforms into a deserted, sun-drenched space. I say hello to some local kids enjoying a swim by the boat ramp before heading up the hill past a fun knock-off store called “Yollibee,” a playful twist on the famous Jollibee.
Next, I visit the iconic Rizal statue, located in front of the beautiful Immaculate Conception Cathedral, which is rich in history and serves as one of Puerto Princesa’s most important landmarks. Just across the street, I explore Plaza Cuartel, a historic site that played a significant role in World War II, currently undergoing a transformation as the government renovates the entire plaza.
After snapping some selfies outside the cathedral, I stroll up Rizal Avenue and make a stop at Mendoza Park, a peaceful green space in the heart of the city, often used for public events and gatherings.
Feeling a little hungry, I head to McDonald’s for some well-deserved air conditioning and treats. After recharging, I continue down Lacao Street to check out SM Mall, where I make a playful shout-out to Adidas—maybe they’ll sponsor me, considering I’m always rocking 90-99% Adidas gear!
The journey ends at Jollibee on Malvar Road, but don’t miss tomorrow’s episode, where I explore the BayWalk Night Food Markets and chat with some incredible locals. Like, subscribe, and comment for more!
