Crappie fishing in Northern Minnesota is very good on Pelican Lake in September. We spent a couple days catching dozens of them in 8 feet of water. They were in the weeds and we used beetle spins. Fried them up that night and they were delicious. Pelican Lake is near Voyaguers National Park outside of Orr Minnesota.
