Approaching strangers may be difficult or for some impossible, but like oneself, everybody has their own story. Inspired by the Humans of New York Project by Brandon Stanton, Gabrielle takes on the challenge of approaching strangers in her community to spread awareness and create appreciation for diversity within her community. Gabbi Dufrene is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. She’s passionate about writing, poetry, growing in her faith, drinking coffee, and getting to know the people around her through the Humans of The Woodlands project. Aside from working at Trader Joe’s, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Jack, her friends, and her family. She will attend Loyola University Chicago in the fall where she will study creative writing.
