Towards the end of the display programme on both of the show days a tribute formation consisting of four C130 Hercules from RAF Lyneham was flown to pay tribute to the crew who were killed in Iraq when their Hercules crashed. The missing man formation was a moving tribute to those men sadly lost. Among those observing this tribute were various volunteers from RAF Lyneham as well as the Station Commander Group Captain Paul Oborn. They all found the tribute particular poignant
