It’s so easy to tell when Autumn is just around the corner... the leaves start to turn beautiful shades of yellow, orange, and red before blanketing parks and footpaths. Yes, it takes a bit more work to sweep up the yard but children and dogs love the crunch of the leaves and it’s a great game to play with them.
Embrace the darker evenings and create a relaxing atmosphere – turn off overhead lighting and enjoy flickering scented candles or some gentle lighting from table lamps, while you snuggle under a cosy throw on the sofa.
Maybe we should take a leaf out of Autumn’s book (no pun intended) as Autumn trees show us how lovely it is to let things go. It’s an opportunity to declutter and find a new home for things we now have no use for, it’s time to let go of the past. We can reflect on the Summer that’s just passed and make plans for Winter.
Rug up and enjoy long walks, explore farmers' markets, kick up the leaves and enjoy the great outdoors. Make the most of Autumn while it’s here – it’s only a couple of months!
