Your Cleveland weather forecast:
Colder air arrives Thursday night into Friday and the will set off the Lake Effect Snow Machine. Winter Watches will go into effect Thursday night for Lake and Ashtabula counties.
Once the lake effect snow machine gets going on Friday -- it doesn't show signs of backing off. There will be a pretty constant northwest flow of cold air. The result will be lake effect snow bands that waffle back and forth over the primary snowbelt -- at times heading south and at times retreating to the lakeshore up toward Erie. For now, please note that we could have some significant snowfall totals through the weekend into next week in the primary snowbelt of Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties with eastern Cuyahoga County potentially getting into the mix.
There is a good chance that travel will become difficult along I-90 between Cleveland/Erie/Buffalo. Keep that in mind!
