Na'kam bitchi or Dry fish and chili curry is an emergency dish to prepare when the kitchen stock has depleted and market days are far. This simple recipe is very easy to make and can be done just under 15 minutes. All you need to have is dry fish, chilies and ginger.
In a rural Garo household dry or fermented fish is a must have item in the kitchen and chilies and ginger are available throughout the year because they are grown in these areas.
This dish made with such simple ingredients is amazingly delicious and good side for bowl of steamed rice.
