Coventry South Labour MP @zarahsultana was elected in 2019. During her time studying at the University of Birmingham, she became active in campaigns against racism, tuition fees and government cuts. In Coventry South and Parliament, she campaigns for justice and equality for all.
@shelleyasquith works for the Trades Union Congress, leading on workplace health and safety; and has been active in the union movement for the last ten years. As a researcher, she is interested in how trade unions are presented in the media.
Des Freedman @lazebnic is one of the founders of the Media Reform Coalition. He is a Professor of Media and Communications at Goldsmiths, author of 'The Contradictions of the Media Power' and editor of 'Capitalism's Conscience: 200 years of the Guardian'.
