CAD CAM is a really cool technology, and a lot of dentists love doing chair-side milling. I actually had a CEREC, but sold it a couple of years ago.
I have seen some great in-office crowns, and some...let's say...not so great work that was done in-office. If you know what you are doing, CAD CAM can give you some great results and really wow your patients if you are able to integrate it into your office successfully. But sometimes the CEREC workflow can actually be a headache, depending on your office, and how you like to run your schedule.
CEREC is a great technology, but it doesn't necessarily make you a better dentist. In my opinion, there is still a place for lab-fabricated crowns.
