A BRIEF SPEECH ON 26TH REPUBLIC DAY
Good morning, Everyone Respected the chief guest, principal, teachers and all my dear friends. This is G.P Yadav, Teacher of English I am very happy to be associated with all of you on the happy occasion. Today It is my immense pleasure to speak a few words about the 72nd Republic day celebrations. Today is 26th January, the republic day. It is a national festival of India. Republic day means the supreme power of the people living in the country and only public has to right to elect their representatives as political leaders to lead the country in the right direction. Actually Britishers ruled our country nearly 200 years. During their ruling we faced many problems. We had no rights and we had no freedom. Finally, we got freedom on 15th Auguest ,1947 but we did not have certain rules for ruling our country. So we need a constitution. The constitution was formed under the chairman ship of Dr B R. Ambedkar. It took 2 years 11 months and 18 days for writing the constitution This is the biggest written constitution in the world. since then we have been celebrating republic day on 26th January 1950 all over the country. Our country became a self-governing country when its constitution came into effect in 1950.Finally, I concluding my speech I would like to say a good quotation. One flag one land, One heart one hand Before concluding my speech, I extend my heartfelt thanks to dignitaries on the dais for giving me this golden opportunity to share my feelings with all of you regarding Republic day celebrations.
Thank you one and all.
