FICN SYNDICATE BUSTED BY TEAM OF SPECIAL STAFF, CENTRAL DISTRICT. TWO SUPPLIERS ALONG WITH THE MANUFACTURER OF FICN ARRESTED WITH RECOVERY OF RS 3,98,900/- FAKE NOTES, RAW MATERIAL FOR FICN PRINTING.

• MANUAL, TECHNICAL SURVEILLANCE AND LOCAL INFORMATION LED TO THE ARREST OF THE ACCUSED.
• RS 3,98,900/- FAKE NOTES OF RS 100 DENOMINATION, RAW MATERIAL FOR FICN PRINTING, ONE TVS JUPITER CLASSIC SCOOTY AND ONE TVS APACHE MOTORCYCLE USED IN COMMISSION OF CRIME HAVE BEEN RECOVERED.
• ACCUSED JUBAIR @ SONU IS PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN 02 CRIMINAL CASES.
TEAM AND OPERATION–
The team of Special Staff, Central District was working on the inputs received regarding syndicates involved in the pumping and circulation of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) within India.
Sensing the gravity of the matter, a dedicated team was deputed to develop the information about the syndicate. Secret sources were deployed with specific tasking in this regard. Surveillance was mounted on the movements of members of this syndicate and requisite actionable intelligence was collected. On 08/08/2024, specific information was received that one of the key members of the racket namely Fazil would come to Paharganj, Delhi area for supplying a huge consignment of FICN. Immediately, a raiding team consisting of Inspector Rohit Kumar, SI Deepak, SI Ombeer Tyagi, ASI Sanjeev, ASI Nazir, ASI Yajurvander, HC Mukesh, HC Munesh Sharma, HC Amarjeet, HC Dhiraj, HC Praveen, HC Ashish, HC Jagbir, HC Sachin, HC Robin, HC Sheotaj, Ct Lokender, Ct Anil and Ct Gaurav under the supervision of Shri Suresh Khunga, ACP/Operation Cell, Central District, Delhi was constituted.
The team immediately went into action and at around 6:20 AM, traps were laid at various static points along the Type-VIII Quarters wall and the wall near roundabout, Gandhi Market, Delhi. Further at around 6:40 AM, two young boys were coming on a brown colour Scooty from the direction of Gandhi Market and parked their scooty 50 meters away from the Gandhi Market roundabout towards Zakir Hussain College. The boy seated behind the scooter was holding a gray and sky-blue colored bag. The informer immediately identified the boy driving the Scooty as Fazil and the boy holding the bag as Mohsin, who were there to supply counterfeit Indian currency notes. After waiting for approximately 10 minutes, the two suspects started to leave on their Scooty. The staff quickly overpowered the suspect and apprehended both boys with scooty. Upon frisking them, nothing objectionable was found. However, upon searching of the gray and sky-blue colored bag, which was being held by Mohsin, 40 bundles of Rs 100 Indian currency notes, wrapped in rubber bands and stored inside a transparent polythene, were recovered. Upon closely examining the notes and comparing them with an original Rs. 100 note, it was evident that these notes were counterfeit. All the notes turned out to be fake in comparison to genuine currency notes.
Upon questioning the apprehended persons disclosed their name and address as Fazil, R/o Near Transformer Wali Gali, Shanti Nagar, Bhood, Bulandshahr, UP, Age 19 Years and Mohsin, R/o Tower Wali Gali, Dhameda Adda Naya Gaon, Bulandshahr, UP, Age 19 Years. Upon further interrogation regarding the recovered fake notes, both suspects revealed that they were engaged in the buying, selling, and supplying of counterfeit Indian currency notes. They disclosed that they were at the location to supply these fake notes to Azhar R/o Kabir Nagar, Delhi and they had supplied counterfeit notes on multiple occasions. They also revealed that they obtained the counterfeit notes from a member namely Jubair @ Sonu, believed to be a key figure in the syndicate, residing in Bulandshahr, UP, and Bihar. The total value of the recovered 40 bundles of counterfeit currency notes amounted to Rs 3, 98,900/-.
Further on, after conducting many raids in different places Delhi & UP, the main mastermind behind the printing of fake currency notes, Mohd. Jubair @ Sonu R/o Kali Nadi Road, Back Side of Mittal Tyre House, Phool wali gali, PS Kotwali Nagar, Faisalabad, Bulandshahar UP, age 26 Years has been apprehended. He also disclosed that he was introduced by Gabbar to Aslam who is logged in jail in a FICN case and that Aslam taught him process of making FICN. He further stated that for the purpose of learning printing of FICN, he gave Rs 30,000/- to Aslam to procure machinery and raw material for FICN printing including a Printer.
