The incident happened on April 3 on Central Boulevard outside the Metrotown SkyTrain station. In the video, a young woman can be seen approaching the victim, who was pushing a walker, and then tripping her before leaving the scene.
The contact caused the senior to fall heavily to the ground. Police say she was shaken but not seriously injured. The victim is Asian but Burnaby RCMP Cpl. Michael Kalanj said although there is no indication at this point that the attack was racially motivated, it isn't being ruled out.
