The Fortress of Suomenlinna in Helsinki is an impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's a massive fortified group of islands in the harbour of Helsinki, constructed in the 17th century as a barrier against Russian attacks from the east. Unfortunately it was unsuccessful as the Russians conquered Finland in the 19th century, but it has lead to some interesting history. Join me for a closer look at one of Finland's most popular spots!
