Chanel Hason (Dir of Outreach & Community Relations) from the Elakha Alliance and Annie Merrill (Ocean and Estuaries Manager) from Oregon Shores will highlight the ecological significance of estuaries, their role in supporting biodiversity, and the challenges these vital ecosystems face from pollution, urban development, and climate change. The presentation will also showcase ongoing conservation efforts to protect estuarine habitat and improve estuary management. This informative session aims to raise awareness and inspire action to protect and preserve Oregon’s estuaries for future generations, and for the future reintroduction of sea otters!
