How to Use Doodle to Schedule Meetings
Doodle poll can be a good way to schedule a meeting with several parties from different organizations. It is free to use, and the paid versions are not necessary for using the basic meeting planning functions.
All that is needed to sign up is your email address.
To create a poll, the first step will be to name the meeting being planned. There are also the options to put in the location of the meeting and add any notes.
Selecting possible dates for the meeting can be done in either weekly,
or a monthly calendar views.
To select times on the weekly calendar click and drag over the time period or time periods. For the monthly calendar view there is a sidebar in which to put the times.
Once the meeting time and date options have been selected, poll settings can be changed. For most meetings, having a “yes,” “no,” and “if need be” options is appropriate.
The last step is sending out the poll, which can be done automatically through entering email addresses into doodle, or personally sending out the link to the specific doodle poll.
When participants click on the link, they will find the dates and times as click boxes which they can put as “yes” or “no” or “if needed” (if that has been chosen as an option).
After participants have voted it will be easy to see which times and dates have had the most “yes” answers. You can then pick the meeting time and date by starring it.
Once you've chosen the date and time of the meeting, there is an option to automatically announce it to all participants.
