While I've made videos of Volkswagen junkyard finds before, this Dune Buggy is definitely a first. The junkyard has it as a 1962 model but I'm guessing that's the year of the Beatle pan that the dune buggy body sits on. I looked all over but couldn't find anything what manufacturer produced it. I did a Google search but there were quite a bit of companies that made all sorts of different types of dune buggy bodies. This one was originally a metallic gold color that was completely faded by the Florida Sun. It had VDO and Stewart Warner gauges. The wheels were also if interest as the fronts were 15" vintage Rocket Racing mags and the rears were Late 60s Ford mustang or Torino gt chrome 14" wheels. As far as the engine, I have no clue when it comes to VW. It'll be there for a few months before meeting the crusher.
