Bare Knuckle 3 / Streets of rage 3 isn’t the best Mega Drive beat em up, the best game in the series. In fact, it’s probably the worst. That doesn’t make it a bad game though. There’s a lot to like about the last 16 bit game in the series and it has plenty of secrets to explore and I think it's very underrated.

This retrospective review will cover what’s known about the game’s development, we’ll talk about some of its cut content, its numerous secrets and discuss the difference between the western and Japanese version in detail.
