Ingredients:
Bitter gourd – 250 g, slice as shown in the video.
Salt to taste.
Oil –
Green chilli – 8 no.
Curd – 1 cup.
Grated coconut – 5 tbsp.
Shallot – 2 no.
Cumin – One pinch.
Mustard – 1 tsp.
For tempering
Mustard, shallot, fenugreek seeds, dried red chillies, oil and curry leaves.
Preparation:
Marinate the bitter gourd with salt.
Heat oil in a frying pan and then fry the bitter gourd and 3 green chilies. When the bitter ground turned brown in color and completely fried, remove it to a strainer and allow it to cool.
Wet grind the coconut, cumin, mustard seeds, and shallot. Combine this mixture with the curd and heat it over a medium flame. No need to boil.
Break the fried bitter gourd using your hand. Add this to the curd-coconut mix. Our pavakka kichadi is almost ready.
To make tempering, heat some oil in a pan, pop the mustard seeds. Then add fenugreek seeds, shallot, 3 dried red chillies, and curry leaves. Add this tempering to the pavakka kichadi. Finally add salt to taste. Our pavakka kichadi is ready. Best combination is rice.
