Former UWL Chancellor Joe Gow is facing a disciplinary hearing to determine if he will retain his tenured faculty role after being ousted from his chancellorship due to his involvement in online pornography. The hearing, held at the Omni Center in Onalaska, involves a faculty committee voting on whether Gow should keep his position, with UW System attorneys representing UWL in arguing against him. Gow has chosen to represent himself. The outcome of this hearing, where a four out of five vote is required for dismissal, will impact his future employment at UWL and may be further reviewed by Interim Chancellor Betsy Morgan and the UW Board of Regents.
