Pulwama (J&K), June 24 (ANI): Under Mahatma Gandhi National
Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), development work is in full swing in J&K’s Pulwama district. Construction work of lanes and by-lanes is underway in various villages of Awantipora block. “We have directions from J&K administration including L Lieutenant Governor of the UT. Recently during a meeting with DDC chairpersons, it was decided that work should be started everywhere. Locals from Panchayat level should be given jobs so that they can earn their bread and butter in this period of Pandemic. Construction work is going on at Rishipora, Panzgam, Lethpora and many other areas under MNREGA with proper SOPs”, said Block Development Officer (BDO) Awantipora Suhail Ahmad. (KP)
