NREL acted as project manager for locating a hydrogen fueling station at the National Park Service (NPS) Brentwood Washington, DC location and there will likely be hydrogen fueling installations located at other NPS sites. To support this effort, NREL conducted a webinar in hydrogen technologies safety. The webinar addressed basic safety issues associated with hydrogen and an overview of NFPA 2 Hydrogen Technologies Code (the national code for hydrogen safety). The webinar was presented by Carl Rivkin, P.E., Chairman of the NFPA Hydrogen Technologies Technical Committee and Safety Research Team Lead at NREL, on Sept. 28, 2017.
