Today we ran into some snags with attempting to give water to the cows here on our off grid farm. We have a river, but pumps and hoses tend to get frozen or stiff or brittle when it’s cold so we’re working out our strategy to keep these cows watered through the winter and we’re just getting started with the cold season. Not sure what would happen if the temperature was -28, which it usually does for a period of time in January or early February.
