A Network RJ45 Cable tester is used to test your Network Cable to see if it is not broken, cut or damage by using electricity to test your cable for continuity.

Network Cable Testers typically cost 10 dollars on Amazon or eBay. They use a 9 Volt Battery cell for power.

All you have to do is plug both ends of the Network Cable in to see if the lights are moving on the cable. If they are not moving, your cable, or the plug is damaged.

If the lights are moving on the network cable tester, your cable should be fine.
