FURTHER INFORMATION
1) This is the 1966 / 67 instrumental by the 1960's soul group 'The Checkerboard Squares' which was later unofficially released in the1970s (?) by Simon Soussan on his Soul Galore label (SG-1002) as 'Bob Wilson Sounds - Strings A Gogo'. Although Soussan had absolutely nothing to do with the original production on the Villa label, he credited himself as writer, arranger, and producer!
2) Soussan (reputedly) produced a vocal version to this; 'The Del Satins - Baby You're The Fire - (also Villa 705!), which is a 1970's previously unreleased 'tailor made' vocal track by a backing singer called Adriennne Williams laid over the Checkerboard Squares 'Double Cookin' backing track. (Adrienne Williams was an established LA backing singer credited on lots of 70s west coast productions). The original VILLA 705 has red print and features Checkerboard Squares - 'A Day In Sausalito' and 'Double Cookin' as A and B sides respectively.
