Markham interviews Olivier Lejeune, oil analyst for the International Energy Agency, about Oil 2021, the mid-term outlook released March 17. The base case (no change in policies or forecast sales of EVs) shows global oil consumption growing by 4% to 2026. But the accelerated case shows consumption may not recover from the pandemic and could be 5.6 million barrels per day lower by mid-decade.
