Fried frog legs are a fantastic appetizer or lunch for a French or Southern-themed meal. They're similar to chicken, but have a mild, special flavor. They're also really juicy. If you like fried chicken wings, you'll love grenouille, as they're called in French.
I go over two different ways you can present them (cut vs whole pairs of legs) as well as the fancy restaurant method a la Thomas Keller I used to use when I served them at a small French restaurant I was chef at.
If you want to get some to try, contact your local seafood shop and ask if they have any. 99% of the time, frog legs are frozen. Asian grocers also carry them, but their food rotation practices are known to be dicey, so I only buy them there if the packing date is recent.
