Found a fun little surprise when I went to remove the Ball Joint on the Hawkeye WRX. Someone had sheared the bolt head on the Pinch Bolt clean off! If you've just sheared off the Pinch Bolt on your Subaru, or you just want to replace it with a better design. This video will show you what we did to drill out the bolt and replace it with a Thru-Bolt and Nut.

Chicago Pneumatic Air Hammer (Didn't get this on camera, but it was a huge help getting the rest of the bolt out after the threads were drilled out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this or another reputable air hammer that suites your fancy if you are working in the salt belt, or any time you are trying to dislodge some highly rusted components. Plus, it will make you feel like Rambo. Use hearing protection. BRRAP BRRAP!!!)
