Dr. McBryar FCOVD, a neuro optometrist at Amplify EyeCare Chattanooga discusses several vision problems caused by a traumatic brain injury. Traumatic brain injury has been shown to cause visual problems in 90% of people who suffer from a traumatic brain injury. A traumatic brain injury can be caused by; falls, automobile accidents, whiplash, sports injuries, blunt force trauma, strokes, other brain injuries. Some of the common vision problems that result from a traumatic brain injury include; ocular motility problems, accommodative system dysfunction, binocular vision dysfunction, blurry vision, double vision, reading, and problems with central peripheral integration.
