One of the ways you get around Pattaya is to ride a baht bus. This is a pickup truck with bench seats in the back that drives around a regular route. You flag it down, climb in and sit down, then when you want to get off, you press a button that ring a bell. Once the driver stops, you get off and lean in through the passenger-side window to pay the driver (10 baht). Due to the limited route, you may have to change to a different baht bus and pay another 10-baht fare. You can also hire a baht bus like a taxi, but it is much more expensive.
